are alternative energy sources more efficient than burning fossil fuels?

~ pros and cons of solar energy and fossil fuels.
~ fossil fuels are almost everywhere and its easy to get where as solar energy is not as accessible to the public.
~ eventually fossil fuels will run out at the rate we're going, solar panels will only get more advanced and will last along time.
~ fossil fuels are hard to get because we have to drive massive holes and once we get them and burn it ,we create greenhouse gases. solar energy does not have any disadvantaged that we know of. and they both cost about the same amount. so to recap it, fossil fuels are more harmful to the environment and it will eventually run out and costs as much as solar energy. cons of solar energy is that its not accessible to the public.
